Ambulance Victoria

Ambulance Victoria aims to improve the health of the community by providing high quality pre-hospital care and medical transport in the Australian State of Victoria). We provide emergency medical response to more than 5.5 million people in an area of more than 227,000 square kilometres.

AV was created on 1 July 2008 following the merger of the Metropolitan Ambulance Service, Rural
Ambulance Victoria and the Alexandra District Ambulance Service.

Ambulance Victoria is currently engaged in a project to develop a pre-hospital simulation training program in partnership with two of your existing members: CAE Professional Services and E-Semble. This work will use the VictimBase project as the patient data bank repository. Ambulance Victoria will be providing 150 case studies inspired from real world data contained in the Victorian Ambulance Clinical Information System (VACIS) into VictimBase as part of this project.

AV is a Member of the EMDM Academy since March 2012
Full membership is awaiting final confirmation by the EMDM Academy 2012 General Assembly
